This Valentine’s cocktail is inspired by upscale aperitifs: lightly effervescent, delicately fruit-forward, and visually romantic without feeling sugary. Think marble countertop, warm candlelight, and a glass that looks like it belongs at a beautiful restaurant.
Ingredients
- 2 oz vodka (or gin for a botanical note)
- 1 oz strawberry purée (fresh blended strawberries, strained for a silk finish)
- ½ oz fresh lemon juice
- ½ oz simple syrup (adjust to taste)
- Chilled champagne or prosecco (to top)
- Fresh strawberries (for garnish)
- Gold cocktail picks (optional, but very “quiet luxury”)
How to Make It

1) Chill the glass.
Pop coupe glasses in the freezer for 5 minutes (or fill with ice water while you mix). -
2) Shake the base.
Add vodka (or gin), strawberry purée, lemon juice, and simple syrup to a shaker with ice. Shake hard for 10–12 seconds. -
3) Strain.
Strain into the chilled coupes, filling each about halfway. -
4) Finish with bubbles.
Gently top with champagne or prosecco. Pour slowly to keep the foam soft and elegant. -
5) Garnish.
Skewer a strawberry (or strawberry hearts) on a gold pick and rest it across the rim.
